Michelle Jones, “Vinylinist™” is a producer, instrumentalist, composer, recording artist, educator/speaker, and host of “Note-Worthy with Michelle Jones” (tv talk show). Jones’ accomplishments extend beyond the creation of Violectric. In 2018, she was invited to be a special guest performer with Wayne Newton in his resident show at Bally’s, Caesars Palace and Flamingo in Las Vegas, and has been touring, recording and performing with him ever since! In May 2017, she embarked on a five-city, sold-out solo tour of Japan. Jones is a regular guest at Comic-Con and at several national conventions. Her touring and performing history includes performances with major recording artists*. As an international recording artist, Jones has composed and recorded many albums as well as TV, film and video game soundtracks, plus advertisements. She and her husband, Jerry Jones, are the founders of Cosplay Records™, a record label dedicated to recording authentic live instruments without any use of midi, beat tracks or pitch correction/autotune, developing new artists and managing production, marketing and distribution for both Cosplay’s artists and in collaboration with other artists and labels. Through Violectric, Inc., Jones created and established Violectric Education Programs with interactive workshops and live concerts for students throughout the United States and Asia. Another one of Jones’ endeavors is her private studio, where she provides music instruction for theory, arranging, and composition on various instruments, including violin, viola, piano and keyboards. She proudly served as a certified facilitator of educational programs worldwide at the Walt Disney Company through the Youth Education Series and Disney’s English Language Programs. Jones was honored with multiple President’s Volunteer Service Awards presented by the White House and Presidents Obama and Trump (Bronze and Gold Awards) for her outstanding philanthropy and commitment to education. “It is always an honor and a privilege to share my passion for performing and teaching music with schools and charitable organizations,” Jones stated after receiving her fourth award.
Jones was recently elected to serve as a Governor on the Florida Chapter Board for The Recording Academy (GRAMMYs®), and is an active voting member of National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS) – The Recording Academy (GRAMMYs®), Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), Association of Performing Arts Professionals (APAP), American Federation of Musicians of the United States and Canada (AFM), Musicians’ Union of Las Vegas, and Central Florida Musicians’ Association (CFMA). She is a 2022 Florida Music Hall of Fame Nominee, is a Mentor with GRAMMY U (educational division of NARAS), and serves on both the Education and Advocacy Committees with the Florida Chapter of NARAS. She was an international delegate for the AFM, and served on several committees including the Diversity Committee and the International Musician Committee. With the CFMA, she served on the Executive Board, Recording Committee, Diversity Committee, and the Youth Committee.
She has studied with several renowned instructors and has performed under the baton of many famous conductors including Richard Hayman and Keith Lockhart from the Boston Pops, Arnie Roth and Chip Davis from Mannheim Steamroller, Victor Borge, Marvin Hamlisch, Anton Coppola, and Barry Knight and Charles Ellis from the Mantovani Orchestra. Jones also is a featured soloist with the Walt Disney World® Company, including soloist and ensemble leader with Disney’s Fairytale Weddings and as a violinist/violist with the Walt Disney World® Orchestra for live performances, film, television, media and recordings.
